Etomethazene (5-methyl Etodesnitazene) is a new synthetic opioid of benzimidazole class, similar to the compound etonitazene, but with greater opioid potency.
\nStructurally, this drug is similar to etonitazene, but differs from other benzimidazole opioids by the methyl substitution in R4.
\nThe IUPAC formula for Etomethazene is 2-[(4-ethoxyphenyl)methyl]-N,N-diethyl-5-methyl-1H-benzimidazole-1-ethanamine.
\nThe dosage of the drug starts at 0.3 mg and should not exceed 1.5 mg, as shown in rodent studies.
\nThis drug can induce opioid dependence with great increase in tolerance to the drug (permanently increasing dosage). At high dosages respiratory depression and even death are possible.
\nThis drug is still poorly studied and little data is available on its toxicological properties and is intended for research purposes in special laboratories.<\/p>\n
