14-Méthoxymétopon

14-Methoxymetopon is an opioid drug, a derivative of metopon, in which the chemical structure is changed and the methoxy group is placed in the 14-position, developed in the mid-90s by a group of chemists, led by Professor Helmut Schmidhammer, at the University of Innsbruck. This drug has a very high opioid potency, about 500 times stronger than morphine, it activates the m-opioid receptors to a greater extent than many other similar drugs and acts as a strong analgesic.With caution, at high dosages, side effects such as constipation and respiratory depression are possible.
This drug is relatively new and there is little data on its properties, it is intended for research and testing in special laboratory conditions.
